Alzheimer's Dementia
Click here to see a list of our current studies.

Caring for a family member with Alzheimer's or stroke-related dementia is a true labor of love.

It takes energy, courage, commitment...and precious time.

If someone you love suffers from Alzheimer's disease or dementia resulting from a stroke, you may be interested in a local medical research study to evaluate behavioral disturbances associated with dementia . Currently, there are no medications specifically approved for the treatment of common behavioral problems in persons with dementia. These problems include:

- Seeing or talking to imaginary figures
- Maintaining false beliefs
- Becoming paranoid or agitated

Our facility identifies and recruits appropriate patients and monitors them during the study. If you qualify and consent to participate, there will be no charge for your study medication and office visits. Additionally, you are responsible for attendence to regular scheduled appointments.

During any one-year period, up to 50 million Americans suffer from clearly diagnosable mental disorder involving a degree of incapacity that interferes with employment, attendence at school or daily life.
